Aiming at the upper -mid market these award winning seafood restaurant's serve modern Australian cuisine focused on Australian and New Zealand seafood.

Garfish Crows Nest is currently seeking motivated industry professionals to complement the kitchen management team at this already successful, busy and awarded small restaurant.

The successful Chef will have completed a trade qualification (apprenticeship), you must be a driven, enthusiastic contemporary chef, with proven demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Be eager to contribute to the building and development of a focused kitchen team.
  • Be a thorough and disciplined, result driven chef.
  • be able to independently manage busy kitchen section / team
  • Be able to demonstrate sound leadership and supervisory skills.
  • have a passion for seafood and thorough knowledge of modern cookery techniques.
  • Be brimming with considered food idea's

This position would suit a trade qualified or very experienced chef de partie or junior Sous Chef from a 'good food guide' listed restaurant or café.

If you are interested in working with Premium Australian and New Zealand seafood sourced directly from the Sydney Fish market Auction Floor and from individual growers, and take an interest in running a kitchen from a business perspective then this position represents a unique opportunity where ability and integrity will be rewarded.
