We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on diesel generator systems and related equipment. The Field Service Technician role sits within MPower’s Service Division, responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of diesel generator systems and UPS systems to over 200 customers across NSW. Reporting to the Service Manager, this is a fast-paced technical and customer-facing role for a highly organised individual. MPower’s customers include major hospitals, banks, data centres, high-profile corporate buildings and small businesses across NSW.Ideally, this person has exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills, being able to work independently as well as part of a team.It is a hands-on role and a great opportunity for the right person, with lots of potential for growth and development within the company.Key Responsibilities: <ul>
<li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on emergency generators and related equipment, including diesel and gas engines, alternators, local and remote cooling systems, fuel transfer systems, generator control systems and UPS systems </li>
<li>Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate solutions </li>
<li>Install and commission new equipment as needed </li>
<li>Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner </li>
<li>Provide excellent customer service and support </li>
<li>Always represent MPower in a professional manner </li>
<li>Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed </li>
<li>Demonstrate a strong focus on health, safety and the environment </li>
<li>Comply with all safety regulations and industry standards </li>
</ul>Qualifications: <ul>
<li>Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical) trade licence is a minimum requirement </li>
<li>Dual trade (electro-mechanical) certification would be a significant advantage </li>
<li>5+ years of experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel generators and related equipment </li>
<li>Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge </li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills </li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics </li>
<li>Good communication and customer service skills </li>
<li>Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to job sites </li>
