</ul>Key Responsibilities <ul>
<li>Design and delivery of medium to large water and wastewater treatment plants, storages, pump stations and pipelines.</li>
<li>Input into investigations, and preparation of technical reports, designs and drawings, and technical specifications for a wide range of water/wastewater infrastructure.</li>

This is a critical role within the business which will see you working on a wide variety of industrial projects within in the water industry and in collaboration with other disciplines, project managers and client representatives. What’s exciting about this role is that you will not only learn from principal engineers, but you will also have the opportunity to guide younger engineers through their learning journey. What will you be doing? <ul>
<li>Conceptual, functional and detailed design of steel and concrete structures, including new treatment plants, plant upgrades, tanks, power and electrical assets, and all other associated plant infrastructure;</li>
<li>Undertaking structural design calculations and modelling;</li>
<li>Preparing and reviewing project specific specifications’;</li>
<li>Checking and reviewing structural design work by others;</li>
<li>Site inspections and providing recommendations for extending asset life, rehabilitation of deteriorated structures and modifying/improving existing assets.</li>
</ul>About YouWe would like you to have a can-do attitude and bring a consultative approach, with an ability to prioritise your work and get things done – and to enjoy what you do, like we do. Ideally you will also possess the following:<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering as well as 8+ years experience in structural engineering design;</li>
<li>Chartered (CPEng) and registered for Structural Engineering in Victoria (PER), or able to obtain these within an agreed timeframe with our support;</li>
<li>Ability to apply engineering techniques and make good decisions on engineering problems and methods;</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently to budgeted hours and timeframes;</li>
<li>Previous experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects preferred but not essential.</li>

In this role you will play a key part in developing technical solutions and delivering projects on a variety of long-term contracts for our valued clients – including Melbourne Water, all three Melbourne metro water agencies, Barwon Water, and most regional Victorian water agencies, amongst others. As a versatile engineer, you will be able to pursue your interests in engineering, project management and client relationships, with opportunities for leading key client contracts and/or team leadership for the right candidate. This role will require you to work with and train younger engineers on the job, whilst being supported by and learning from a group of Principal engineers who are leaders in the water industry.
