We’re now looking to increase our pool of independent contractors who can provide corporate, commercial and transactional legal services to our AU and NZ clients.About the roleAs an independent contractor at Sprintlaw, you’ll be able to log into our platform whenever you like and pick up the projects you want to do. We work flexibly with our contractors so you can decide when you work, the volume of projects you do and the type of work you do. We’ll set you up with all our online project management systems, automated invoicing system and workflow automations, so all you need to do is work with the end client to deliver their fixed-fee projects. </ul>Ideally, you are someone who is:<ul>
<li>personable, with experience working directly with clients</li>
<li>tech-savvy, able to operate our technology platforms</li>
<li>has excellent communication skills (as we operate entirely online, the way you communicate to the small businesses we work with is very important!)</li>
<li>has experience in any of the following areas: commercial, business sales, commercial leases, corporate structuring &amp; capital raising, employment law intellectual property (including trade mark applications and oppositions), franchising, NFP and charity set up, and data privacy compliance.</li>
</ul>Our preference is to work with contractors who have a broad set of expertise areas and can service more clients, but we also sometimes work with specialist contractors depending on the area of work you do.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial legal services, primarily to small business and start-up clients. The role requires working independently, remotely, and with flexible working hours.Key ExperienceWe are looking for lawyers with around 2-4 years PQE within general commercial law, either having worked in private practice or in-house environments. The key legal experience we are looking for is commercial contract drafting and review. In addition to general commercial law experience, experience in the following areas will be looked on favourably:<ul>
<li>Corporate law, including startup capital raising or M&amp;A</li>
<li>Employment law</li>
<li>Technology law</li>
